Leslie proposed to Ashley on a rainy evening against the beautiful Dallas skyline. Wait, let me back up. Leslie planned out a surprise rooftop proposal featuring the beautiful Dallas skyline, Cameron Havens playing the guitar and singing their song, a blanket with rose petal scattered about, lanterns, and champagne.
It was raining all day, but like magic the rain stopped just in time for the proposal. Leslie brought Ashley to Black Bird Lofts (the rooftop mentioned before and an old brick building in downtown Dallas,) and the two of them walked up the spiral staircase. As soon as Ashley rounded the last corner she saw the setup and started crying. Leslie said maybe half of what she had planned on saying and asked her to marry her. Spoiler alert: Ashley said yes.
After a few minutes to themselves, smiling and listening to Cameron sing his heart out, Ashley’s kids came up to congratulate them. And then one by one, the rest of their family came up. Ashley was so surprised and they were so dang happy.
Congratulations Ashley and Leslie. You guys are so sweet, I can’t wait to see the family you build together.
