Jennifer & Charles // Wichita Mountains Engagement Session

Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge – Indiahoma, Oklahoma – Engagement Session

Jennifer and Charles met two years ago on a hiking Meetup camping trip to the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma. He was new to hiking and she wondered if he could even survive outdoors. Charles, in fact, did survive and fell in love with this daring woman. They hike and camp most weekends now. Charles proposed by setting up the extra bedroom in his house to be a big campsite, tent, pups, and all. She walked in and followed rose petals to the campsite he set up for her and he asked her to marry him. It’s safe to say they are hiking & camping buddies for life.

When I first sat down with these guys to get to know each other and talk about their wedding they told me this story, and you better believe I got really excited and announced (a little too loudly for a coffee shop) that we should absolutely do their engagement session there. They were on board immediately.

AND, oh my gosh, these guys! They really know how to love on each other and are just completely natural together.

The day before we drove up to Oklahoma with our kiddos and took them camping for the first time. They had so much fun. I absolutely love getting to travel and photograph people in love.

Jennifer and Charles, I am so thankful to get to serve you guys in this season of you life. You two are so sweet together, I can’t wait until you say, “I do,” in September.
