Ly & Brian’s Wedding 11.04.17

Ly and Brian started dating their senior year at Baylor University eight years ago. EIGHT.

Both being first generation Asian Americans, they wanted to honor some traditions, but buck some other traditions. The most biggest tradition they decided to keep was a tea ceremony to honor their families. The tea ceremony took place at Ly’s mom’s house and was full of respect, kindness, sweet words, and so much laughter. Ly and Brian took turns serving each of their parents and grandmother tea and in exchange were given advice and red envelopes for good luck and prosperity.

Their wedding ceremony took place at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Fort Worth, the church that Ly grew up in. It’s filled with gorgeous stained glass windows that Ly just loves. She remembers playing around them as a child and looking at them in awe, and now she’s a gorgeous bride standing with her groom beside them still looking at them in awe.

The reception was help at Lost Oak Winery in Burleson, Texas.  Ly an Brian set aside thirty minutes between the ceremony and the reception just to explore the venue and take freaking awesome portraits with me. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST! Gimme all the vineyard weddings please.

Ly and Brian, I wish you all the happiness in the world. You are such a gorgeous couple. I’ll never get over how easily you laugh with each other. Congratulations, I can’t wait to see you this Spring.
